Our aim through the Eco Rangers schools programme is to reconnect children with nature and encourage them to recognise the importance of protecting it. It will help develop and strengthen the relationship between children and nature and over time inspire them to become guardians of the land. Most importantly, we want them to have fun doing it.
Eco Rangers encourages a respect for nature by getting pupils to actively explore it. Teachers and pupils have been busy mapping trails in their local area and beyond, as part of the Eco Rangers schools programme. They have great knowledge of some of the best nature walks around Ireland. They’ve also been out on eco safaris- exploring and observing the plants, animals and habitats along their trails and recording their experience on the Eco Ranger’s website. Because of this everyone will benefit. You too can discover great areas of local interest, get out and about and enjoying nature!
